1.  Celebrations-we celebrated the schedule change (related arts at 9:50 instead of first thing in the morning...a win- win for all parties involved)
2. Work on developing a common assessment to give on September 30th.-we synergized to compile questions for our common assessment.  We were able to develop 5 math multiple choice and one open response.  We started on the reading and got 2 muliple choice questions.

1.  Celebrations-MAP celebrations

2.  Best Day-We chose 2 different writing pieces, opinion.  We will let parents know that they need to return folders so we can replace writing pieces.  We will retype the parent letter and work. 

3.  Program Review update-need samples of technology

*Primary award will go to students who have met benchmark on MAP-I placed a copy of norms in your classroom yesterday! :)
*Student growth goals need to put in by tomorrow!
*Tuesday Mrs. Wheatley from Farm Bureau will be here in the afternoon to read to classes.

1.  Share ideas of units or plans for upcoming units-
-Discussion of reading plans for the upcoming weeks.  
-We shared resources for reading
-Discussed math topics (measurement, time, data analysis, geometry, money and multiplication) and shared strategies/lessons 
-we will continue to teach addition and subtraction



2.  Ways we are differientiating to meet student needs?
-Using MAP scores and providing students leveled work (1st/2nd/3rd grade work), reading A to Z books, Lexia and Lexia individualized lessons, Dreambox, partners and small group, WIN time,

BEST DAY PLC-February 9, 2016

Best Day 2/9/16  PLC minutes-

1. Discussion of WIN plans and formative assessment data (30 Minutes)- 
-plans use common core quick checks for formative assessment during WIN work stations
-Formative assessments- 2 aha's, weekly formative assessment in spelling notebooks, What stuck with you (post-its)?, exit slips and checklists.
We are using the data to immediately reteach the skills

2.  Common Assessment review-we developed our common assessment on the last Best Day so we took our common assessment to check for any errors. ELA and Math tests look great and we completed the rubrics for open responses.

3.  Schedule discussion for next year-we had conversations about students that should not be together next year for best instructional practices

Krystal-a student has finished Lexia but will complete level 18 again, and celebration of our time during the Best day to complete the common assessment for March
Sally-shared that she is enjoying her WIN time as well as her students are gaining a lot during this time
